Stage five: Handover and Aftercare

Throughout the build there are a series of inspections we must pass in order to proceed to the next stage of the build. The last inspection is called the final inspection. Once this inspection has taken place and passed, the house is officially habitable. Meaning you can move in!! It also means Nuline are able to apply for the Code Compliance Certificate (CCC).

Once this inspection has been completed Nuline will invoice you the final payment. In order for banks to make this final payment they often require a valuation to be completed, along with a few other bits and pieces of admin. Once we received the final payment we will schedule a handover to show you through the completed house and hand over the keys!

Something that often confuses people is thinking that they need the CCC approved to move in. At Nuline we are okay with you moving in after the final payment has been paid, which will only be invoiced once the final inspection has been passed. The CCC will then be applied for separately. This usually takes around a month to be approved, during which time you will have moved and settled into your home!

Three months following handover, the new homeowner, sends us a list of any defects you’ve noticed in your home. Nuline will then remedy these issues within one year of the handover.

WOOH! You now live in a brand new home, custom built for you!
